The “Green Horizons” project (2025-3-PT02-KA152-YOU-000374484) is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme. Hosted by the Young Professional Development Society Portugal (YPDSP), the project brings together international partners Adler Horizont (Austria) and Asociacija Aktyvistai (Lithuania) to empower young people through non-formal education, intercultural learning, and international cooperation.

The project aims to strengthen young people’s knowledge, skills, and confidence to participate actively in society, with a focus on social inclusion, youth participation, environmental sustainability, climate action, and digital empowerment. Through international mobility activities, participants exchange experiences, share good practices, and explore practical solutions to challenges affecting young people and their communities.

Three International Mobilities for Positive Change

The first mobility, Climate Action and Sustainability Activities, took place in Austria from 1 to 5 September 2026, led by project partner Adler Horizont, with 22 participants. The program focused on environmental awareness, sustainability, and opportunities for young people to contribute to climate action.

The second mobility, Digital Empowerment and Media Activities, is scheduled to take place in Lithuania from 10 to 16 November 2026, led by Asociacija Aktyvistai. It will focus on digital skills, media awareness, and the responsible use of digital tools to support youth engagement and participation.

The third mobility, Inclusion and Youth Participation, will take place in Mora, Portugal, from 13 to 19 December 2026, hosted by YPDSP. The program will provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment where participants can explore barriers to participation, promote equality and respect for diversity, strengthen leadership and communication skills, and examine the role of environmental responsibility and digital citizenship in building stronger communities.

Through interactive workshops, collaborative learning, group discussions, and intercultural dialogue, participants will be encouraged to develop practical ideas and identify ways to create positive change in their local contexts.

Developing an Eco-Toolkit for Youth Organizations

A key expected outcome of the Portugal mobility is the collaborative development of an eco-toolkit containing practical activities, inclusive learning methods, and actionable ideas that young people and youth organizations can adapt to their own communities. The toolkit will help translate learning and international exchange into practical resources for future youth work.

By connecting young people and organizations across Portugal, Austria, and Lithuania, GH-CIYADE seeks to promote meaningful youth participation, strengthen intercultural understanding, and encourage more inclusive, environmentally responsible, and digitally aware communities. For more information
