“YOUNG LEADERS WORLD FORUM” EVENT IN NEPAL, MARCH 2023

The “Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN)”, Nepal is hosting the “Young Leaders World Forum” international training course and a youth mobility Erasmus+ program, Key Action 2-Capacity Building in the Field of Youth, taking place at Traditional Comfort – A Boutique Hotel, Krishna Pauroti, Kamal Pokhari St, Kathmandu 44600, Nepal, from March 22nd to March 28th, 2023, in Kathmandu, Nepal, in collaboration with project applicants and respective partner organizations. Participants from 11 countries will take part in this program. This is co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. This training course and meeting will be essential for creating networking, exchanging good practices, learning new skills and abilities, and defining the manifesto of values and proposals on youth policies to build the capacity of youth. As a part of the project, mobility training involves representatives of the partner organization and participants.

YSEEAM: Local Youth Consultation Workshop

YPDSN, Nepal has successfully conducted a Local Youth Consultation Workshop for youth capacity building exchange program was held on Saturday 10 July 2021 Kathmandu, Nepal. On behalf of the Youth Social Entrepreneurship Education for All with Moodle (YSEEAM) project, Co-founded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Partners’ Kick Off Meeting

On behalf of the project consortium, Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN) has hosting partners’ Kick off Meeting in Collaboration with Active Kids Foundation, Poland and Coordination with Globers, Spain and Center for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS), Vietnam.

Project Entitled Youth M Power in the field of unemployment(Grant Agreement Number: 619156-EPP-1-2020-1-PL-EPPKA2-CBY-ACPALA), Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Kick off Meeting will be held in Hotel, Manaslu, Lazimpat, Kathmandu, Nepal from April 19, 2021 to April 21, 2021.

Project Partner and Consortium Countries:

Project aims to help young migrants and refugees keep their jobs or develop pathways to employment through matching them with trained mentors that suit their needs. Supported employers to improve their cultural awareness and break down cultural barriers. The project objective is to mobilize youth refugees and migrants themselves, primarily in search of employment opportunities in agriculture, mining and other industries. At the individual level, a refugee -despite having skills and motivation to work – can face multiple challenges in gaining meaningful employment, which can feed disillusionment and a loss of self-esteem.

This meeting aims to update and develop common understanding about the country partner organizations, planning for the project, designing country specific activities and implementation of the activities within the time frame and budgeting for the project.  As a part of the project, a kick-off meeting involving representatives of the partner organization.

Climate Action

On behalf of Developing Innovative Community Empower (DICE) Consortium UK, YPDSN Nepal has conducted Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with unemployment Youth for COP 26 Global Youth Letter on Young People, Cultural Relations and Climate Action.

The FGDs also raised awareness between youth of the Ground-Level review on the Implementation of Climate Action, the FGD and the Youth Survey. Furthermore, they provided a safe and collaborative experience for Youth to exchange views on issues related to their work on Climate Action. Finally, the focus group discussions served as a tool to recognize and YPDSN groups doing important work on youth, Climate and country policy on the ground, despite the many challenges they face.

YPDSN has received another opportunity Erasmus plus project.  Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has announced Erasmus plus grants. This grant Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Our project “Youth M Power in the field of unemployment” submitted in the last February 2019 under the Erasmus Plus call “Capacity Building in the field of Youth 2020”: the project was selected for funding FY 2020 to 2022.

Youth Social Entrepreneurship Education for All with Moodle (YSEEAM)

On behalf of European Union- Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has announce the result Erasmus + Capacity Building of Youth grants project entitle: Youth Social Entrepreneurship Education for All with Moodle (YSEEAM) was selected for funding FY 2019-2021. YSEEAM is youth capacity building exchange programme Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. YSEEAM takes roots on the threshold of an approaching Fourth Industrial Revolution in which automation and massive digitalization is predicted to radically alter the status-quo relation between trainers- trainees, youth workers – youths and their place in the learning process; as well as the future’s Skills Demand. Entrepreneurship – Analytical thinking – Leadership and Social Influence are predicted by World Economic Forum (2018) to continue to be most essential skills for future jobs. In the face of those challenges, youth work shall need to anticipate trends and adapt to new technological changes in order to confirm its indispensable role in the new digital age.

The project aims to consolidate the role of youth workers in promoting youth social entrepreneurship by enriching them with the core knowledge of social entrepreneurship, youth work skills, and particularly the technical know-how to open their relevant courses on MOODLE as a new, innovative, far-reaching way of doing youth work. Simultaneously, YSEEAM aspires to develop a new form of youth work methods in the efforts to make its digital shift.

World Diplomatic Summit Nepal 2019

On behalf of World Diplomatic Summit (WDS 2019) Organizing committee, we wish to express our pleasure to invitation for participation for World Diplomatic Summit 2019 Nepal. Theme for the Nepal Summit “preparing the Youth towards future leadership, diplomacy and governance for the achievement of the SDG Goals. The event shall gather hundreds of Young Leaders and Delegations from around the world, who will come to discuss the most pressing issues facing the progress of the Youth and the world, and hence share common interest in practical solutions for sustainable development Goals through global ideas.

We will focus exclusively on the most important development and challenges of our time. Our vision is ambitious, which is nothing less than to reshape the World through the Sustainable development Goals, especially to better the lives of the Youth and Young People globally with 2030 agenda of the United Nations. The event will take place in Nepal in October 2019 (Program date and venues will publish later). We shall discuss further on the preparations. The Summit will be the first major Diplomatic event in Nepal, produced in collaboration and partnership with your Team and the world’s leading development organization and institutions.

Young Sociopreneurship Leaders Exchange Nepal 2019

Developing social empathy and ability, entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation of youth and student from Indonesia & Nepal. Enhancing mutual understanding and people to people engagement between student and youth from Indonesia & Nepal. Enhancing competitive spirit among student and youth to be able to face regional economic challenges; Generating spirit as the agent of change to be able to solve social problems in their society and surroundings; Facilitating student and youth from Indonesia & Nepal to exchange their ideas, cultures, as well as experiences in order to develop networking for social entrepreneurship.

Young Sociopreneurship Leaders Exchange Program 2019 – Nepal organizing in collaboration with Indonesian Youth Opportunities in International Networking (IYOIN) between YPDSN, Nepal. This Program going to held June 2019 in different (Sauraha, Lumbini, Pokhara & Tanahun – Kathmandu) places. This is good opportunity for learning and exchange your ideas for explore future.

The challenges most on our minds as practitioners grouped in four areas: (1) overcoming current attitudes and social norms, (2) being adaptive and staying one step ahead, (3) defining youth leadership, and (4) developing shared meaning, and widening access.
